1. Purpose
These terms govern the use of Korr, a spelling and grammar checker, in every form in which it is used: website, installable web app, browser extension or Windows app.
The publisher is identified in the legal notice.
2. Acceptance
Using Korr means accepting these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.
3. Description of the service
Korr analyses text provided by the user and suggests a corrected version. The website and the extension correct French, English, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese; the Windows app corrects French and English.
All processing is local. The text is analysed in the user's browser or on the user's computer. No text is sent to a server run by the publisher: none exists.
The optional rewriting styles and translation rely on an artificial intelligence language model that users install themselves and that runs on their computer. Text produced this way is AI-generated: it may contain errors or change the meaning, and must be reviewed.
4. Free of charge and right of use
Korr is free, with no account, no subscription and no usage limit.
The publisher grants users a free, personal, non-exclusive right to use Korr, for any personal or professional purpose. Korr remains the property of the publisher; no right other than this right of use is granted.
Except where the law allows it, users may not sell Korr, distribute it in a modified form, or present it as their own product.
The publisher does not guarantee that possible future features will remain free. A feature that is free today will not become paid without users being informed beforehand.
5. No warranty
Korr is provided "as is", to the extent permitted by law. In particular, the publisher does not guarantee that:
- the suggested corrections are accurate, complete or suited to the context;
- the service works without interruption or error;
- the software is compatible with every hardware or software environment.
These provisions do not deprive consumers of the statutory guarantees that cannot be excluded.
6. User responsibility
Korr is a writing aid, not a validation. An automatic checker may miss a mistake, introduce one, or change a meaning unintentionally.
Users remain solely responsible for the text they publish, send or sign. They must review every correction before use, especially for contractual, medical, legal or administrative documents.
To the extent permitted by law, the publisher cannot be held liable for indirect damage resulting from the use of the service or the inability to use it, including data loss, commercial harm or an error remaining in a corrected text.
7. User obligations
Users agree not to:
- use Korr for unlawful purposes or to produce unlawful content;
- attempt to undermine the operation or security of the service;
- present a modified version as the official version.
8. Personal data
Corrected text never leaves the user's device. Korr uses no cookie and requires no account. The website measures its traffic anonymously and without cookies (Vercel Web Analytics). User preferences are kept in the local storage of the browser or the extension, on the user's device.

9. Intellectual property
Korr, its code, its logo, its brand and the website content are the property of the publisher. The only third-party component distributed, Node.js, remains subject to its MIT license, whose text ships with the Windows app.
Text entered by users belongs entirely to them. The publisher never accesses it and acquires no right over it.
10. Availability
The service is provided without any availability commitment. The publisher may modify, suspend or discontinue it at any time.
Once installed, the Windows app and the extension keep working offline, regardless of the website's availability.
11. Changes to these terms
These terms may be changed. The applicable version is the one published on the website on the date of use, and the date of the last update is shown at the top of the document.
12. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by French law. Consumers living in another country keep the protection granted by the mandatory provisions of the law of their country of residence.
In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought first: any claim may be sent to contact@peekrapp.com. Failing that, the French courts have jurisdiction; consumers may also bring proceedings before the courts of their place of residence.
13. Payment, refunds and withdrawal
Korr is entirely free and involves no payment. There is therefore nothing to refund, and the right of withdrawal does not apply.
14. Severability
If any of these clauses is held void or unenforceable, the other clauses remain in full force.
